PASS A GRILLE?
Pass
A Grille is a historic community that was established in the late
1800s.
It
is on the southernmost tip of St. Pete Beach.
Pass
A Grille is 32 blocks long and only one block wide. The Gulf of
Mexico is one the"west side and the Intercoastal is on the
east. One can stand in the middle of the block and see both bodies
of water.
Pass
A Grille has a real old Florida feel. There is beautiful
flora and fauna, and, kitty cats, doggies, heron, egret, sandpipers,
seagulls, dolphins, starfish, turtles, and a beautiful beach.
There
is a book that tells all about the area. Briefly, it got its name
from the fact that French Fishermen used to meet up to grill
some fish at the pass...thus the French spelling Pass
A Grille.
